Scar of the World
The Scar of the World is a giant canyon between the nations of Greystone and Nexora. The Scar is nearly 500 miles long, 30 miles wide and over one mile deep at it’s deepest point. The base of the canyon is level, but the walls of the canyon shorten as the ground above slopes down from the mountains to the plains in the south east.
In the walls of the canyon, the remnants of an ancient dwarven civilization can be seen. It is rumored that some dwarves still live under the ground in the ruins of the ancient kingdom. The history of the canyon and how it came to be are a mystery, though many stories, myths, and children songs claim to recount the story of the canyon and the dwarven city within.
At the head of the canyon, where it runs into the mountains is a giant waterfall. A river that begins in the mountains flows down into the canyon and continues flowing along the bed of the canyon, coming out near Fort Prosember.
